Pastasciutta: Reviews & Ratings

Not much space to eat, but not a problem, Rome is nice to hangout and eat outside. Gave us 2 carbonara instead of 1 carbonara and ragu, they were very nice and gave us the right order in less than 5 minutes without charge, great service!!! The carbonara was good, authentic, the pasta quality was the best, freshly made on the spot. The ragu wasnt our taste, it reminded us of frozen lasagna from the store, we're sure its fresh and good, we just think it wasnt our taste. Good food, highly recommend because the quality is 9/10 and the price is great considering it's Rome.

Delicious yes but I feel pike the noddles/pasta used or made are a on the harder to chew side. Idk if it is an italian thing or what but it sure has some difficulty chewing But overall a good experience for first meal in Rome! Hope to have more!

A great place for a quick bite! The size of the restaurant is very small, so I assume sometimes it might be hard to find a seat, but it is very worth the wait. You have some decent options to choose from, and the price is unbelievable for the quality. The pasta is fresh and delicious, and made to order.

A MUST! We found this place by coincidence, we decided to try it given the reviews, although, we were doubtful as sometimes reviews overhype things, but this is an incredible place. We had carbonaras a mini bottle of wine for $10 euros. all pastas are no more than 8.50(pasta of the day price). Again, the Carbonara was fantastic, the cheek lard is soo tasteful!!! Thank you!!

The pesto pasta is AMAZING. We came back to it 4 times during our one week trip. It's so good, maybe the best we had in Rome. The prices are super cheap, the pasta is ready within a couple minutes and is prepared in front of you, and the staff are extremely nice. A true hidden gem in Rome. Thank you!

Absolutely loved it! Great value for money and the taste is amazing. Even the drinks are cheaper than supermarket prices. The place is clean, hygienic, and very well kept. Plus, they have a restroom and even power outlets for those who need to charge their phones. Highly recommend!

Located in the heart of Rome at Piazzale Flaminio, Pastasciutta offers an authentic Italian pasta experience that captures the essence of Roman cuisine. This cozy spot may be small, but it radiates charm with its fast, friendly service and dedication to freshly made pasta. Walking in, you immediately sense the passion behind each dish, as the pasta is crafted on the spot, ensuring a quality that stands out in a city teeming with culinary options.

Among the highlights is their classic Carbonara, praised repeatedly by visitors for its rich, flavorful sauce and perfectly cooked pasta. The cheek lard adds an indulgent depth, creating a dish that feels both comforting and refined. While the Ragù may divide opinions—with some finding its flavor reminiscent of frozen lasagna rather than traditional warmth—it still speaks to the kitchen’s commitment to bold, hearty preparations. Every plate is served swiftly, often within minutes, allowing for a quick yet satisfying meal experience.

Pastasciutta also impresses with its value. Prices generally stay under €8.50, a rare find amid Rome’s bustling dining scene. Portions are generous, and the quality consistently rates high, making it a smart choice for both locals and travelers seeking authentic taste without the hefty price tag. Even with the challenge of limited seating, the vibrant atmosphere nearby Piazzale Flaminio invites diners to enjoy their meals al fresco, combining great food with the beauty of Rome’s streets.

In summary, Pastasciutta is a must-visit for pasta lovers looking to indulge in fresh, well-executed Italian flavors. Its blend of speed, quality, and affordability creates a compelling dining experience that leaves a lasting impression. Whether you favor the creamy richness of Carbonara or the robust taste of their Ragù, this little gem proves that simplicity paired with skill can result in extraordinary food.
